I don't know part 1 but

Part B: It's increased 6cm at segment P, decreased 6cm at segment R, stays constant for 1 second at segment Q

Part C: First the Ant takes 3 seconds climbing up 6cm of the hill then stays there for 1 second then takes 3 seconds climbing 6cm back down the hill.

So here we can use Pythagoras theorem to find the length of ladder.
