100 POINTS! I REPEAT 100 POINTS! PLEASE HELP!
AURORKA [14]
First you need to find the area of the lawn. To find the area of a square, you multiply two sides together. You have two sides given, which is super helpful.

I put in my calculator, (40+4/5)x(50+7/8) and this gave me the answer of 2075.7.
You need to then divide that number by 500, and divide it by 300, and then round up, cause if you round down you’re not gonna have enough seed.

2075.7/500 = 4.1514, but then this needs to be rounded up or he’ll be 0.1514 short. So he needs 5 bags for the highest setting.

2075.7/300 = 6.919, so for the lowest setting, he needs 7 bags of seed.

This should be correct.

Hope this helps :)

Emma wants to build a fence around the perimeter of her lawn. Each foot of fence costs $2. The rectangular lawn has an area of 3
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

\$160

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the cost of the entire fence, we need to first determine the lawn's length before calculating its perimeter.

Area of rectangular lawn = lw (formula for the area of a rectangle)

364=14l

l=26 feet

Now that we have the lawn's length and width, we can calculate the perimeter:

Perimeter = 2l+2w (formula for the perimeter of a rectangle)

=2(26)+2(14)

=80 feet

Since each foot of lawn costs $2, then the cost of the entire fence will be:

80\times2 = \$160

∴ The entire fence costs \$160.

Hope this helps :)
