Find the surface area of the regular pentagonal pyramid.
mr_godi [17]
Area of each side triangle is 1/2*8*15 = 60. There are 5 of them so the triangles have surface area 300. the pentagon's area 1/2*apothegm*sidelength*sides = 1/2*5.5*8*5 = 110. The total area is therefore 300+110 = 410

Geometric mean between 9 and 36
nlexa [21]
I've actually just learned this. We would set up the proportion as X/9=36/X so after we cross multiply we get x^2=324. Then we find the square root of both sides to simplify. And using my calculator the square root of x^2 is just x. And the square root of 324 is 18. So the final answer is x=18 or the geometric mean is 18.

MatroZZZ [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

given that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) uses the median to report the average price of a home in the United States.

We know that mean, median and mode are measures of central tendency.

Mean is the average of all the prices while median is the middle entry when arranged in ascending order.

Mean has the disadvantage of showing undue figure if extreme entries are there. i.e. outlier affect mean.

Suppose a price goes extremely high, then mean will fluctuate more than median.

So median using gives a reliable estimate since median gives the middle price and equally spread to other sides.

Zina [86]
So 2/7 cookies on Monday
n 1/3 more on Tuesday
so we are going to fine Tuesday's amount , to find what fraction did Gail sell on the two days
so
2/7 + 1/3
find lCM which is 21
u add and get 13/21 so 31/21+2/7=19/21

Flauer [41]

Answer:

\frac{4}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: There are 2 classes of 25 students.

            13 play basketball

            11 play baseball.

            4 play neither of sports.

Lets assume basketball as "a" and baseball as "b".

We know, probablity dependent formula; P(a∪b)= P(a)+P(b)-p(a∩b)

As given total number of student is 25

Now, subtituting the values in the formula.

⇒P(a∪b)= \frac{13}{25} +\frac{11}{25} -\frac{4}{25}

taking LCD as 25 to solve.

⇒P(a∪b)= \frac{13\times 1+11\times 1-4\times 1}{25} = \frac{20}{25}

∴ P(a∪b)= \frac{4}{5}

Hence, the probability that a student chosen randomly from the class plays both basketball and baseball is \frac{4}{5}.
