What is the best estimate for the sum of fractions 5//6 and 5/8
7nadin3 [17]

Answer:

The answer is 25/24 or 1.041

Step-by-step explanation:

Given 5/6 and 5/8, you can't find the sum at that point. This means we will have to find a common denominator, which will be 24.

6 x 4 = 24 and 8 x 3 = 24

Doing this, you will have to multiply the numerator and denominator by the value the denominator needs to be multiplied by to get 24.

5/6 x 4/4 = 20/24 and 5/8 x 3/3 = 15/24

After getting these values, you can then add them.

20/24 + 15/24 = 25/24 or 1.041

How much fabric is required to cover x buttons in the shape of a circle whose radius is 3x ?
Leviafan [203]

Radius of 1 button = r = 3x

Fabric required to cover 1 button = Area of the circle

= \pi r^{2}

= \pi (3x)^{2}

= 9\pi x^{2}

Total number of buttons = x

Fabric required to cover 1 button = 9\pi x^{2}

Fabric required to cover x buttons = x(9\pi x^{2} )

=9\pi x^{3}

Hence, fabric required to cover x buttons =9\pi x^{3}  sq. units

D is the wrong answer please help :(
Stella [2.4K]

This can be solved by Newton's binomial formula

Tk+1 = (n k) a∧(n-k) b∧k  k+1=7 => k=6, n=11 , a=-3x and b=-2y

T7= (11 6) (-3x)∧(11-6) (-2y)∧6 = (11*10*9*8*7)/(1*2*3*4*5) (-3x)∧5 (-2y)∧6

T7= 462 (-3x)∧5 (-2y)∧6

The correct answer is A.

Good luck!!!

The table gives the average age of airplanes per airline at Camila’s local airport. By what percent is the number of airlines wi
VladimirAG [237]

The percentage that the number of airlines with an average airplane age of 14 is less than the number of airlines with an average airplane age of 11 is:

B. 20%.

<h3>What is a percentage?</h3>

The percentage of an amount a over a total amount b is given by a multiplied by 100% and divided by b, that is:

P = \frac{a}{b} \times 100\%

The percentage of airlines with an average age of 14 years is:

P = \frac{2}{15} \times 100\% = 13.33\%

The percentage of airlines with an average age of 11 years is:

P = \frac{5}{15} \times 100\% = 33.33\%

The difference is:

33.33% - 13.33% = 20%.

Hence option B is correct.
