No, people were treated differently based on their wealth, gender, and citizenship. Women did not get the right to vote or hold office. Also, if you had more money, you got more voting power.

imagine living badly almost 2,000 years ago, daily life in ancient Rome was actually not much different to our own in many perspectives. The vast majority of the population had to go to work to earn enough money to live on like we all do in irl. They spent time with family and looked after the administration of the household.
