You can find possible answers just by looking at the x terms in each offered choice.

a. x(-5-2) = -7x ≠ 3x

b. x(4+1) = 5x ≠ 3x

c. x(11-8) = 3x . . . . . . . . a potentially viable choice

d. x(9+6) = 15x ≠ 3x

When you check the rest of answer selection c, you find it doesn't work, either.

... x²(1-1) +x(11-8) +(-12+23) = 3x +11

The correct choice is ....

... e. none of the above

_____

We expect there has been a typo in the question and you're supposed to find the equivalent of 3x+11. In that case, the appropriate choice is c.

_____

In cases like this where an error in the problem is suspected, I like to suggest you ask your teacher to show you how to work the problem. (In math, details are everything.)

How much grain can this container hold?
ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer:

953.78 in^3 of grain.

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a cylinder = π r^2 h.

For this cylinder r =  radius of the base = 9/2

= 4.5 in  and the height h = 15 in

So the volume is 3.14 * 4.5^2 * 15

= 953.78 in^3.

A company with n employees publishes an internal calendar, where each day lists the employees having a birthday that day. What i
lutik1710 [3]

Answer: 1-(\frac{364}{365})^n

Step-by-step explanation:

Binomial probability formula :-

P(x)=^nC_xp^x(1-p)^x, where P(x) is the probability of getting success in x trials, n is the total number of trials and p is the probability of getting success in each trial.

We assume that the total number of days in a particular year are 365.

Then , the probability for each employee to have birthday on a certain day :

p=\dfrac{1}{365}

Given : The number of employee in the company = n

Then, the probability there is at least one day in a year when nobody has a birthday is given by :-

P(x\geq1)=1-P(x

Hence, the probability there is at least one day in a year when nobody has a birthday =1-(\frac{364}{365})^n
