Answer:

We learned how plate tectonics is important in the formation of rock, mountains, volcanoes and earthquakes. Studying the interior of the Earth helps learn about all of these and the processes that helped create the Earth and currently drive plate tectonics. It can also help prevent many casualities in the event of a disaster.

Each interior angle of a regular polygon is 150°. how many sides has the polygon
olya-2409 [2.1K]

Given parameters:

Each interior angle  = 150°

Unknown:

The number of sides of this regular polygon = ?

Solution:

To find the sum of internal angles of a regular polygon, we use the expression below;

              (n - 2) x 180  = sum of internal angles of a polygon

n is the number of sides,

   Also, the sum of the internal angles of a polygon = number of sides x internal angles;

 So;

            (n-2) x 180 = 150 x n

 Solve for n;

           180n - 360 = 150n

           180n - 150n  = 360

                30n  = 360

                n = 12;

Therefore, the number of sides is 12

Which feature is considered evidence for continental drift?
UkoKoshka [18]
Plate tectonic is a scientific theory that says the Earth’s lithosphere is divided into several plates. The plates glide over the mantle. In early 20th century, this theoretical model builds on the concept of continental drift. It was first proposed by the scientist Alfred Wegener in 1912. After seafloor spreading was validated, the theory was accepted by the geoscientific community.

List and describe two powerful forces of nature caused by plate tectonics.
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

Earthquakes and volcanoes

Explanation:

Earthquakes are caused by any type of plate movement in response to the plates reacting to one another in some way.

Volcanoes can be caused when there is a plate being sucked under another plate causing magma to rise up and eventually errupt.
