Answer:

The first reason is that most of the South had broken off the rest of the Union, and did not view Abraham Lincoln as a valid authority figure.

The second reason is that slaves were an essential part to the Southern economy due to the many plantations all over the South. It was cheaper to pay a price once and get a slave that did unlimited work than it was to pay someone to do it every single time.

What did the delegates debate?
AveGali [126]

Answer:

The major debate between the 55 delegates at the convention was over the type of legislature. Delegates of larger states called for seats in the legislature to be determined proportionally by population, while smaller states wanted each state, no matter the population, to have equal representation in Congress. Hope this helps!

Why were trenches formed in a zigzag pattern in world war 1?
mamaluj [8]
The answer lies in knowing what would happen if trenches were formed in a straight line. Imagine it! If trenches were in a straight line and a portion of the trench was overtaken by the enemy, it would make it so much easier for the enemy to quickly open fire down the length of the trench to take out any soldiers harbouring there and thus quickly take control of the trench before anyone could muster a counter attack.
