The already poor countries look brightly on the idea of social conformity and taking care of each person. However the failures a socialism are seen when poor countries simply become poorer because there is decreased competition such as Venezuela.

Developing countries tend to be corrupt business owners (corporatism) and wealth concentration that only helps those already with too much power over the government (the same corrupt business owners mentioned before). Many believe that the best way to solve the problems would be to take those people's money and distribute to the poor, instead of fixing the political system and punishing those who are influencing the government in their favor.

Since many blame the rich for their own disgrace, they truly believe that taking money from the rich is morally correct. This belief is still common in most left wing parties of Latin America. This way of thinking has been spreading in North America as well.

In what ways were eighteenth century American and British societies similar or dissimilar in terms of the rights of individual l
LenKa [72]
American society was in a formative stage, searching for reason and formulating a Constitution based on radical ideas of liberty and reason, stemming from the European Enlightenment which gave rise to the French Revolution, and from the neo-Platonist humanism of the Renaissance.

British society, while not itself untouched by the Enlightenment, remained in many respects deeply conservative and reactionary. The Establishment was concerned to protect the monarchy and the aristocracy - the 'ruling classes' - and in general the status quo from the revolutionary ideas which were sweeping Europe and America.

These differences led directly to the Declaration of Independence and the War of American Independence (1776-1783).
