Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

(c)

1 unit right means add 1 to the x- coordinate

2 units down means subtract 2 from the y- coordinate.

A (1, 3 ) → A' (1 + 1, 3 - 2 ) → A' (2, 1 )

B (4, 5 ) → B' (4 + 1, 5 - 2 ) → B' (5, 3 )

C (3, 1 ) → C' (3 + 1, 1 - 2 ) → C' (4, - 1 )

(d)

the translation rule is

(x, y ) → (x + 1, y - 2 )

Roses normally cost $19.00 a dozen, but for Valentine's Day the price goes up to $35.00. What is the difference in price, includ
JulijaS [17]

Answer:

$17.12

Step-by-step explanation:

First let's find the normal cost with tax

7/100*19=133/100=$1.33

$19+$1.33=$20.33

Now we find the cost with tax for the Valentine's Day price

7/100*35=$2.45

$35+$2.45=$37.45

Now we subtract the normal cost from the Valentine's Day price

$37.45-$20.33=$17.12

I figured out the first question, the second one in lost on.

\frac{(6-x)}{x^2+3x-28} / \frac{x^2-36}{x^2+5x-36}

Factor both of the equations, numerator and denominator

\frac{(6-x)}{(x+7)(x-4)}*  \frac{(x+6)(x-6)}{(x+9)(x-4)}

Cancel the like factors *excuse the zero im just showing you*

\frac{(0)}{(x+7)} *\frac{(x+6)}{(x-9)}

Combine frunctions

\frac{(6+x)}{(x-9)(x+7)}

x-9=0
x+7=0

Restrictions are 9 and -7

If h(x) = 5 x and k(x)=1/x, which expression is equivalent to (koh)(x)?
Lyrx [107]
May be there is an operator missing in the first function, h(x). I will solve this in two ways, 1) as if the h(x) = 5x and 2) as if h(x) = 5 + x

1) If h(x) = 5x and k(x) = 1/x

Then (k o h) (x) = k ( h(x) ) = k(5x) = 1/(5x)

2) If h(x) = 5 + x and k (x) = 1/x

Then (k o h)(x) =k ( h(x) ) = k (5+x) =  1 / [5 + x]
