Answer: Some of the components in tobacco smoke include:

Nicotine (the addictive drug that produces the effects in the brain that people are looking for)

Hydrogen cyanide.

Formaldehyde.

Lead.

Arsenic.

Ammonia.

Radioactive elements, such as polonium-210

Benzene.

Explanation: Highly damaging components of tobacco smoke include:

tar – is the word for the solid particles suspended in tobacco smoke. The particles contain chemicals, including cancer-causing substances (carcinogens). Tar is sticky and brown, and stains teeth, fingernails and lung tissue

carbon monoxide – is a poisonous gas. It is odourless and colourless and, in large doses, quickly causes death because it takes the place of oxygen in the blood. In people who smoke, the carbon monoxide in their blood makes it harder for oxygen to get to their organs and muscles

oxidizing chemicals – are highly reactive chemicals that can damage the heart muscles and blood vessels of people who smoke. They react with cholesterol, leading to the build-up of fatty material on artery walls. Their actions lead to heart disease, stroke and blood vessel disease

metals – tobacco smoke contains several metals that cause cancer, including arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, lead and nickel

radioactive compounds – tobacco smoke contains radioactive compounds that are known to be carcinogenic.

The effects of tobacco smoke on the body include:

raised blood pressure and heart rate

constriction (tightening) of blood vessels in the skin, resulting in a drop in skin temperature

less oxygen carried by the blood during exercise

‘stickier’ blood, which is more prone to clotting

damage to the lining of the arteries, which is thought to be a contributing factor to atherosclerosis (the build-up of fatty deposits on the artery walls)

reduced blood flow to extremities (fingers and toes)

increased risk of stroke and heart attack due to blockages of the blood supply.

Which of the following cells undergo multiple divisions for apical growth or the growth at the tips of stems?
enyata [817]
Meristematic Cells

Contains meristimatic cells, apical meristems are found in the tips of the roots and in the buds of the shoots. They supply cells for the plants to grow in length.

Apical Meristems are found in herbaceous plants, woody plants, grasses, and flowering plants.

In flowering plants, shoot apical meristem develops into an inflorescence meristem which produces the floral meristem. The floral meristem is responsible for the production of the sepals, petals, stamens, and carpels of the flower.

Explain your experience in the area of planning, evaluation and coordination of human services programs, including strategic pla
mezya [45]

Answer:

My experience in human services programs was really stimulating and I learnt a lot about communication assets, which I think is the most important part of the job.

Explanation:

Working in humans services programs needs a certain skills that will help you to perform the job correctly. One of this skills is the ability of apply communication assets correctly, to know what to say in the correct moment.

Also, in order to have a successful activity, it is needed to make an organized planning, to evaluate and coordinate correctly. My experience in this process is that, no matter how much are you prepared, you must have several backup plans, because all people are different, and you don´t know what is going to surprise you in the next program. Always try to be ahead of any problem.

Some strategic plannings that you might need to coordinate such programs are to measure the time you will need for every activity, even approximately, this will help you to have a control over everything.

Also, try to have everything planned for at least three days before, if something unexpected happens, you will be able to fix it at time.

Question
klemol [59]

The benefit derived from laying many eggs by the octopus is that it increases the chance that more individuals will survive to maintain the population.

Survival rates

For organisms that serve as prey for another organism in the same ecosystem, the more their reproductive capacities, the better the chances of the population's continued existence in the ecosystem.

Since only 5% of the number of offspring produced by octopuses only make it to adulthood, this means that the higher the number of offspring produced, the higher the chances of more making it to adulthood.
