Answer:

  • A) k = 0.3

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the constant of proportionality k in each case and compare

  • y = kx

A)

  • 16k = 4.80 ⇒ k = 4.80/16 ⇒ k = 0.3

B)

  • 32k = 6.40 ⇒ k = 6.40/32 ⇒ k = 0.2

C)

  • 12k = 1.20 ⇒ k = 1.20/12 ⇒ k = 0.1

D)

  • 9k = 1.80 ⇒ k = 1.80/9 ⇒ k = 0.2

As we see k = 0.3 is the highest one

Alex Ar [27]

Answer:

a) 0.970225

b) 0.999775

c)  0.000225

Step-by-step explanation:

probability of one system not working =1-0.985=0.015

a)

probability of one system is 0.985 then

Probability of both system = 0.985 * 0.985= 0.970225

b)

probability of one of system fail is = 1 - 0.985

                                                         =0.015

Therefore

probability of both system failing =0.015 * 0.015 =0.000225

probability at least one system function satisfactorily = 1- 0.000225

                                                                                        = 0.999775

c)

If both system are fail then probability is 0.000225

Stefanie spends entire allowance one month she spends 1/2 of a on new clothes 1/4 on food 1/6 on movies and 1/12 on Music how mu
Komok [63]

Answer:

Option D: 1/3

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ------> the entire Stefanie's allowance

we know that

She spends on clothes (1/2)x

She spends on movies (1/6)x

To find out how much more does she spend on clothes that he does on movies, subtract the amount she spends on movies from the amount she spend on clothes

\frac{1}{2}x-\frac{1}{6}x=\frac{2}{6}x

Simplify

\frac{1}{3}x

therefore

She spends 1/3 more on clothes that he does on movies

Solve for x: 3|x-3| 2=14<br> a. No solution<br> b. x=-1,x=8.3<br> c. x=0,x=7<br> d. x=-1,x=7
VMariaS [17]
I am looking  on the answers, and there is only one case, when a or b or c or d pass:   3|x-3| + 2 = 14.  So I assume, that before two is plus. Then:

3|x-3|+2=14    |minus 2
3|x-3|=12        |divide 3
|x-3|=4

From absolute value definition you've got two ways:

x-3=4     or     x-3=-4
x=7        or     x=-1

And  answer d) passes
