Chlorine in the stratosphere is believed to come primarily from cfcs rather than from natural sources such as volcanoes because:
Andreyy89

he answer is because samples of air taken over erupting volcanoes shows that volcanoes contribute a small amount of chlorine in the stratosphere compared to CFCs. Volcanic eruptions account for a large instability of chlorine from land to the atmosphere on a yearly basis. This is in addition to chlorine that enters the atmosphere from sea spray, industrial processes and biological gases which are from CFCs. All of these inputs happen near or at the base of the atmosphere. Very little of the material emitted from volcanoes makes it up into the upper reaches of our atmosphere which is the stratosphere where it could touch the ozone layer. However, most of it is believed to be deposited lower down which is in the troposphere, where it then rained out back to the surface of the earth.

A man with normal vision marries a color-blind woman. Red-green color blindness is an X- linked recessive disorder. They have a
jeyben [28]

Answer: The probability is 100%.

Explanation: The chromosome X is related to gender. A man carries two different chromosomes (XY) and a woman carries two similar chromosomes (XX). The offspring of a couple will inherited:

 • If it is a boy, he inherites the chromosome Y from his father and X from his mother;
 • If it a girl, she inherites X from her father and X from her mother;

In the question, the woman is color-blind, which means she carries the recessive alleles: X^{d}X^{d}

The man, on the other hand, is normal, so his X-linked genotype will be: X^{D}Y.

Now, since they have a daughter, she inherited her double X from each of her parents, which means she inherited one X^{d} from her mother and one X^{D} from her father.

So, the daughter's genotype can only be heterozygotic X^{D}X^{d} in other words, the probability is 100%.

List and describe two characteristics of all living things
Mice21 [21]

Hello User,

All living organisms share several key characteristics or functions: order, sensitivity or response to the environment, reproduction, growth and development, regulation, homeostasis, and energy processing. When viewed together, these characteristics serve to define life.

 • Living things are made of cells. Cells are the basic building blocks of living things
 • Living things have movement. This movement can be quick or very slow.
 • All living things have a metabolism
 • Living things grow
 • Response to environment.
 • Reproduction.
