A: D. m1 + m2 = m3

the exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of the other 2 interior angles

B: 36 deg

plug in the equations given to find m1:

(5x + 11) + (3x+22) = (9x+28), solve for x to get x=5

plug x=5 into the equation for m1 to get 5*5 +11 = 36degrees

deff fn [24]

Answer:

Solution given:

length of cube[a]=6ft

volume of cube =a³=6³=216ft³

again

For cylinder

d=4ft

r=2ft

h=6ft

volume of cylinder=πr²h=π×2²×6=75.4ft³

Now

remaining volume=216-75.4=140.6ft³

is a required answer.

At a bake sale, as student spent $11.00 buying 3 brownies and 5 cookies. His friend spent $3.95 buying 1 brownie and 2 cookies.
dybincka [34]

Answer:

$2.25

Step-by-step explanation:

Let "b" be the price of 1 brownie and "c" the price of 1 cookie.

At a bake sale, a student spent $11.00 buying 3 brownies and 5 cookies. Symbolicaly,

3 b + 5 c = 11.00 [1]

His friend spent $3.95 buying 1 brownie and 2 cookies. Symbolicaly,

1 b + 2 c = 3.95

b = 3.95 - 2c [2]

If we replace [2] in [1], we get

3 (3.95 - 2c) + 5 c = 11.00

11.85 - 6c + 5c = 11.00

c = 0.85

If we replace c = 0.85 in [2], we get

b = 3.95 - 2 (0.85) = 2.25

A university knows from historical data that 25% of students in an introductory statistics class withdraw before completing the
Vikki [24]

Answer:

13.4%

Step-by-step explanation:

Use binomial probability:

P = nCr p^r q^(n-r)

where n is the number of trials,

r is the number of successes,

p is the probability of success,

and q is the probability of failure (1-p).

Here, n = 16, r = 2, p = 0.25, and q = 0.75.

P = ₁₆C₂ (0.25)² (0.75)¹⁶⁻²

P = 120 (0.25)² (0.75)¹⁴

P = 0.134

There is a 13.4% probability that exactly 2 students will withdraw.

How to solve this problem
nevsk [136]

Let C be the center of the circle. The measure of arc VSU is 2+114x, so the measure of the minor arc VU is 360-(2+114x)=358-114x. The central angle VCU also has measure 358-114x.

Triangle CUV is isosceles, so the angles CVU and CUV are congruent. The interior angles of any triangle are supplementary (they add to 180 degrees) so

m\angle VCU+2m\angle CUV=180

\implies m\angle CUV=\dfrac{180-(358-114x)}2=57x-89

UT is tangent to the circle, so CU is perpendicular to UT. Angles CUV and VUT are complementary, so

(57x-89)+(31x+3)=90

\implies88x=176

\implies x=2

So finally,

m\widehat{VSU}=2+114\cdot2=230

degrees.
