Answer:

Furthermore, animal cognition research tends to eschew questions of which animals are smarter than others, focusing instead on more specific questions like the ones above. Scientists often say that they are more interested in how well an animal evolved to thrive in their environment, rather than in how smart they are.

What are the three types of weathering? Give an example of how they each work to produce soil. Include links to the webpages tha
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

Weathering can best be defined as the physical, chemical and biological disintegration of rocks to form sediments and soils.

It is an important natural process that has sculpted landscapes and produced useful Agricultural soils over decades.

From the definition, one can extract three main types of weathering.

 • Physical weathering is also known as mechanical weathering. It is the breaking down of rocks to form soils by physical means. The freezing and thawing of ice, thermal expansion of rocks, salt crystal growth, pressure release e.t.c causes chunks and bits of rocks to fall off and form soils.
 • Chemical weathering is the decomposition of rocks to form sediments and soils. It involves oxidation, carbonation, hydration and even hydrolysis of rocks to form soils.
 • Biological weathering utilizes the life activities of plants and animals to drive weathering. Burrowing animals breaks of chunks of rocks and power them into essential soil matter. Chemicals secreted during life process of plants are important to weathering.

Komok [63]

The statement that best describes the result of the experiment is that students who spend less time studying after school get lower math grades. Option D

What is laboratory experiment?

The entire concept of an experiment is so that the empirical relationship between variables could be explored. Now we know that if not for experiment, we can not confidently say that A causes B. Thus, it is by the means of experiments that we can be able to establish the concept of causation.

Thus the statement that best describes the result of the experiment is that students who spend less time studying after school get lower math grades. Option D

Stimuli in an arbitrary stimulus class:
Nina [5.8K]

The correct answer is option B and C, that is, they do not share similar stimulus characteristics and include a restricted number of stimuli.

An arbitrary stimulus class refers to predecessor stimuli, which induce the similar reaction, however, they do not share relational feature and do not resemble each other in physical form. For example, cheese, peanuts, chicken breasts, and coconut milk are the members of an arbitrary stimulus class if they induce the response, that is, sources of protein.
