Biology

The environment has something called the carrying capacity. This is the amount of life it can sustain. Limiting factors, like food, water, and light, lower the carrying capacity because there is only a limited amount available.

Overpopulation causes stress on the environment because the amount of organisms is over the carrying capacity. (To read specifically about the overpopulation of humans, see this question). This leads to a struggle for survival because the organisms are undernourished. The struggle causes damage to other organisms and the environment because of the struggle for nutrients.

Plants try to get the most soil for nutrients, crowding out other plants. Too many animals will destroy the environment around them to get more food, including different food than they usually consume, leading to struggles with other animals.

This kills off other plants and animals in the process, and the loss of biodiversity is extremely dangerous to the environment.

Nuclear envelope forms at each pole spindle dissolves chromosomes uncoil. True or False
Doss [256]

Answer:

True.

Explanation:

There are four phases which occur during karyokinesis, these are -

  • Prophase
  • Metaphase
  • Anaphase
  • Telophase

Telophase is the last phase of karyokinesis. The main events that occur during telophase are-

  • Uncoiling of chromosome occurs
  • Chromatin is formed
  • Spindle breaks down
  • Nuclear membrane or nuclear envelope if reformed

Thus it is clear that the events that are mentioned in the question denote truly about the Telophase.

Acetylcholine receptors are best characterized as what type of channel? Acetylcholine receptors are best characterized as what t
exis [7]

Answer:

Chemically gated Na+-K+ channels

Explanation:

The acetylcholine receptors are the receptors or ion channel proteins which are considered the transmembrane proteins. The acetylcholine receptors are of two types depending on the ligand which binds that is either nicotinic or either muscarinic receptors.

When the acetylcholine binds the receptor molecule, the ion channels open up and allows the passage of the sodium and potassium ios which depolarizes the membrane potential and generates the action potential in the neuron.

Thus, Chemically gated Na+-K+ channels is correct.
