Adolescence is the period between the beginning of puberty and adulthood and puberty is the phase where a child's physical and intimate characteristics start to mature.

What is adolescence and puberty?

Puberty occurs due to hormonal changes at a period of age in which child gets mature characteristics with respect to intimacy and physical development.

Puberty usually starts between age 7 and 13 in girls and 9 and 15 in boys. There are different characteristics of puberty for boys and girls.
