According to the United States Constitutional amendment, the populist policies that were eventually successful are:

  • Direct election of senators: this is evident after Article 1 Section 3 of the 17th amendment to the Constitution, which stated that the election of the Senate shall be made by the people thereof.

  • Creation of a federal income tax: this is evident in the 16th Amendment which allows Congress to levy an income tax on the citizens.

However, the populist policies that were not successful eventually are:

  • 16-to-1 silver-to-gold currency ratio: this is evident in the fact that such policies were never discussed at the Congress, but only remain a debate among the Populist party.

  • Government control of railroads: this is evident with the Interstate Commerce Act of 1887, which regulated the practice of railroads but did not fix the price. The act led to the formation of the Interstate Commerce Commission to monitor the affairs of railroad transportation practice.

Hence, in this case, it is concluded that there are some Populist party's successful policies, while some others were not.

In 1954, the government of Bolivia began taking land from Francisco Loza for public projects, including an international airport
Lynna [10]

Answer:

No.

Explanation:

U.S Federal Courts have limited jurisdiction. In other words, their jurisdiction is limited to the kind of cases listed in the U.S Constitution and particularly provided for by Congress. Therefore, they mostly hear cases in which the United States is a party, cases that involve violations of the U.S. Constitution or federal laws, cases between citizens of different states, as well as bankruptcy, copyright, patent, and maritime law cases. As a consequence of this, federal courts cannot exercise jurisdiction as regards matters related to the Bolivian government.

What constitutional principle did the supreme court establish in the McCulloch case
Triss [41]
The Supreme Court Case McCulloch v. Maryland (1819) was a monumental Supreme Court decision in that it established the principles in constitutional law of implied powers, and that state actions cannot impede valid constitutional exercises by the Federal government. This means that powers that were not explicitly listed in the Constitution are still constitutional if the Federal government creates laws that help to carry out the constitution in this case running a federal bank in the state of Maryland. The next important power was that the State of Maryland could not interfere or impede the powers of the Federal government to implement the Constitution.
