A)
Game 1 = 180

Game 2 = 200

Increase = 200 - 180 = 20

% Increase : Mind you the baseline for division or reference is the 180 and not the 200. The first one between the two numbers is the reference.

So % Increase =  (20 / 180) * 100%

                       =    (1/9)  * 100% =    11.11%

                 Increase = 11.11%

b)
Game 2 = 200

Game 3 = 180

Decrease = 200 - 180 = 20

% Decrease : Mind you the baseline for division or reference is the 200 and not the 180. The first one between the two numbers is the reference.

So % Increase =  (20 / 200) * 100%

                       =    (1/10)  * 100% =    10%

                 Decrease = 10%

Number 1.) In game 1 he scored 180 points, In game 2 he scored 200 points this means the score went up , so now you have to add, ( Addition ).

180 + x = 200       |         x=?                    ,    well 180 + 20 = 200.

Since there is 20 points added to 180 which gives us 200 there is an 11.11% increase .

Number 2.) , In the next game he scored 200 points , it asks what is the decreased number?

how many numbers did his score drop?  200 - 180 = 20   |

Now we must work backwards , There is a loss in points , ( 20 ) , so there is an 10% decrease.
  (200-180) / 180 * 100%  = 10%

                     20 / 200 * 100% = 10%

20 = The Answer with an 11.11% increase , there is a 10% decrease.

I hope this helps you a lot

When 6x² - 4x+3 is subtracted<br> from 3x²–2x+3, the result<br> is
mr_godi [17]
Let's subtract then: 3x2 - 2x + 3 - (6x2 - 4x + 3)

taking out of the bracket with a changed sign: (there is a minus in front of the bracket)

3x2 - 2x + 3 - 6x2 + 4x - 3
let's reshuffle them so that similar terms are together:
3x2 - 6x2 - 2x + 4x + 3  - 3

Adding up similar terms:

-3x2 + 2x - that's our option 2!

What to do when a negative number is subtracted from a positive number?
pentagon [3]
When you see the subtraction<span> (</span>minus<span>) sign followed by a </span>negative<span> sign, turn the two signs into a plus sign. Thus, instead of </span>subtracting<span> a </span>negative<span>, you're adding a </span>positive<span>, so you have a simple addition problem.</span>
