5 0

Step-by-step explanation:

I am not sure this is a square.

this could be a rectangle.

to be safe, I am following that path.

in a rectangle opposite sides are of equal length.

that means

y - 1 = 2y - 7

y = 2y - 6

0 = y - 6

y = 6

3x - 4 = 3y - 13

3x - 4 = 3×6 - 13

3x - 4 = 18 - 13 = 5

3x = 9

x = 3

as it turns out, it is a square, so we could have used every side expression to be equal with every other side expression, but better safe than sorry ...

Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

X = -3.4

I found that the answer should be -3.4 because I just did 11.7 - -8.3 which equals 3.4 so i just changed it so it would be a negative number.

Step-by-step explanation:

11.7 + -8.3 + -3.4

the answer is then 0 so x = -3.4

Please help! find QPR
aleksley [76]

Answer:

m∡QPR = 25°

Step-by-step explanation:

solve for 'x':

8x + 7 + 9x + 16 = 40

17x + 23 = 40

17x = 17

x = 1

m∡QPR = 9(1) + 16

m∡QPR = 25°

A 14-foot ladder is leaning against a building as shown. It touches a point 11 feet up on a building. How far away from the base
Luden [163]
We can assume that the point the ladder creates with the ground and building is a triangle. You can use the Pythagorean theorem to solve this.

A^2 + B^2 = C^2

The ladder is C, and the building can act as A or B, so for the purpose of this explanation, I’ll make it A.

11^2 + B^2 = 14^2
Figure out the squares

121 + B^2 = 196
Subtract 121 from both sides

B^2 = 75
Square root B^2 and 75

B = 5 root3
