The value of the integral 3ydx+2xdy using Green's theorem be - xy

The value of    \int\limits_c 3ydx+2xdy  be -xy

<h3>What is Green's theorem?</h3>

Green's theorem relates a line integral around a simple closed curve C to a double integral over the plane region D bounded by C.

If M and N are functions of (x, y) defined on an open region containing D and having continuous partial derivatives there, then

\int\limits_c Mdx+Ndy = \int\int\〖(N_{x}-M_{y}) \;dxdy

Using green's theorem, we have

\int\limits_c Mdx+Ndy = \int\int\〖(N_{x}-M_{y}) \;dxdy ............................... (1)

Here N_{x} = differentiation of function N w.r.t. x

          M_{y}= differentiation of function M w.r.t. y

Given function is: 3ydx + 2xdy

On comparing with equation (1), we get

M = 3y, N = 2x

Now, N_{x} = \Luge\frac{dN}{dx}

               = \frac{d}{dx} (2x)

              = 2

and, M_{y} = \Huge\frac{dM}{dy}

             = \frac{d}{dy} (3y)

             = 3

Now using Green's theorem

= \int\int\〖(2 -3) dx dy

= \int\int\ -dxdy

= -\int\ x dy

=-xy

The value of  \int\limits_c 3ydx+2xdy  be -xy.

You start at point A and walk 4 miles north, then 7 miles east, then 1 mile north, then 5 miles east to get to point B. How far
devlian [24]

Answer:

13 miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

These distances form a right angled triangle with legs 4+1 = 5 and  (7+5) = 12 miles and the distance between A and B is the hypotenuse.

So the distance AB^2 = 5^2 + 12^2 = 169

AB = sqrt 169 = 13 miles.

Which of the following is a polynomial with roots: − square root of 5 , square root of 5 , and 3? (6 points)
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Let's check the first polynomial , that is

P(x)= x^3 -3x^2 -5x+15

We need to factor it first and for that we have to do grouping and factoring .

P(x) = x^2(x-3)-5(x-3) \\ P(x) = (x^2 -5)(x-3)

TO find the roots, we need to set P(x) to 0, that is

(x^2 -5)(x-3)=0 \\ x^2 - 5= 0 , x-3 =0 \\ x^2 = 5 , x=3 \\ x = \pm \sqrt{5} , x=3

SO the correct option is A .

Peter, Bridget and Caroline share some sweets in the ratio 2:5:2. Peter gets 14 sweets. How many did Bridget get?
babunello [35]

Answer:

35

Step-by-step explanation:

The 14 sweets Peter gets is 2 parts of the ratio, then

14 ÷ 2 = 7 ← number of sweets in 1 part of the ratio , then

5 parts = 5 × 7 = 35 ← number of sweets Bridget gets

Given P(A)= 0.95 and P(A∩B)=0.37. Find P(B∣A)
Dmitriy789 [7]

Answer:

P(A)= 0.95  \: and  \: P(A∩B)=0.37. \\  Find  \: P(B∣A) \\ P(B∣A) =  \frac{P(A∩B)}{P(A)}  \\  =  \frac{0.37}{0.95}  \\  \therefore \: P(B∣A) = 0.389
