America and other countries believed that ignoring or appeasing Germany and Japan would make them stop their hunger for land. First off, everyone kind of just left Japan alone. We didn't agree with what they were doing but we were like what are we gonna do. Then we have Germany who was basically walking into countries and saying that they were his... and no one stopped Hitler so he just conquered all these countries. Neville Chamberlain the British prime minister even signed the Munich pact with Hitler saying that he could have the Sudetenland as long as promised not to invade the rest of Czechoslovakia. (He later went back on his word but hey he's Hitler)

victus00 [196]

A type of political activity which was not the type of activity that the Sons of Liberty took part in prior to the outbreak of the American Revolution is the Stamp Act.

What is the Stamp Act?

The Stamp Act was the first widely known acts of the Sons of Liberty which took place on August 14, 1765. It happened when an effigy of Andrew Oliver, the commissioned Distributor of Stamps for Massachusetts, was found hanging in a tree on Newbury Street, along with a large boot with a devil climbing out of it.

The most famous and major action of the Sons of Liberty which leading up to the Revolutionary War was the Boston Tea Party.

What is the Boston Tea Party?

The Boston Tea Party occurred as a result of taxation without representation. The American colonists trusted that Britain was unfairly taxing them to pay for expenses incurred on the French and Indian War. In protest to a tax on tea, some members boarded trade ships in Boston Harbor and thrown their tea into the water.

vitfil [10]
Well this was the beginning of women wanting equality, and also inspired the long process in history for African Americans to attempt freedom. It's eventually gained, but even as free people African Americans are not given the same rights as the old white guys who wanted "freedom" back in colonial days.
