The average academic essay should contain the introduction, body, and conclusion, making sure the body has more text than the introduction or conclusion, as it is the bodyof a text, and should make up for the majority of the essay itself. The introduction is basically the first impression to an essay and should have a hook to keep the reader engaged. The conclusion should sum up some of the body of text, and overall conclude the essay itself.
