Acetylene, c2h2 c 2 h 2 , can be converted to ethane, c2h6 c 2 h 6 , by a process known as hydrogenation. the reaction is c2h2(g

)+2h2(g)⇌c2h6(g) c 2 h 2 ( g ) + 2 h 2 ( g ) ⇌ c 2 h 6 ( g ) given the following data at standard conditions (all pressures equal to 1 atm a t m and the common reference temperature 298 k k ), what is the value of kp k p for this reaction?

The value of the Kp is obtained from Kp = p.C2H6/p.C2H2 * pH2^2 as 1.

What is Kp?

The Kp is the equilibrium constant for a gas phase reaction we have to put down the equation for the Kp here as; Kp = p.C2H6/p.C2H2 * pH2^2.

We are told here that all the pressures are equal to 1 atm hence we substitute values; Kp = 1/1 ( (1)^2 =1

Why are tsunamis usually harmless in open water away from the shoreline?
iragen [17]
This is because I’d deep ocean, tsunami waves may appear only a foot or so high. But as they approach the shoreline and enter shallower water they slow down and begin to grow in energy and height.Since the tops of the waves move faster than the bottoms so it causes them to rise faster.So...if a tsunami is in deep waters it does not really hit the shore and splash around to hurt anyone or anything or any people. It is fine because it’s in the middle of the ocean and not on the shoreline.I hoped I helped even a little bit :3
