The probability that “a child ticket is bought for a play” and “the play is performed in the afternoon" is 36/363.

<h3>What is the probability?</h3>

Probability is the likelihood that a stated event would occur. The probability that the event would happen lies between 0 and 1.

The probability that “a child ticket is bought for a play” and “the play is performed in the afternoon" = 36 / total number of tickets bought

36 / (36 + 12 + 127 + 188) = 36 / 363

1. Find the derivative with respect to x of x +1/x from first principle. <br>
Murrr4er [49]

If you mean f(x)=x+\frac1x, then the derivative is

\displaystyle f'(x) = \lim_{h\to0} \frac{\left(x+h+\frac1{x+h}\right) - \left(x+\frac1x\right)}h \\\\ = \lim_{h\to0} \frac{(x+h)-x}h + \lim_{h\to0} \frac{\frac1{x+h} - \frac1x}h \\\\ = \lim_{h\to0} \frac hh + \lim_{h\to0} \frac{x-(x+h)}{hx(x+h)} \\\\ = \lim_{h\to0} 1 - \lim_{h\to0} \frac h{hx(x+h)} \\\\ = 1 - \lim_{h\to0} \frac1{x(x+h)} \\\\ = \boxed{1 - \frac1{x^2}}

If you mean f(x) = \frac{x+1}x = 1 + \frac1x, we know from above that

\displaystyle \left(\frac1x\right)' = \lim_{h\to0} \frac{\frac1{x+h}-\frac1x}h = -\frac1{x^2}

which leaves the constant term, whose derivative is

\displaystyle (1)' = \lim_{h\to0}\frac{1 - 1}h = 0

and so

f'(x) = -\dfrac1{x^2}

1st: split the 1 shape into 2 shapes. (spit across to where you see one right angle(top), and a trapezoid(bottom)

2nd: now what i did was fill that gap to where the total height is 9 and the total length is 7. ( if you don't want to do that it is fine )

3rd: for the top do 5 times 2 = 10

4th: for the bottom do 4 times 5 = 20

5th: add 10 (top) and 20 (bottom) = 30

Sammie worked at the pizza place last Monday and brought home $60. If he makes $8.50 per hour and earned $13.25 in tips, how man
-BARSIC- [3]

Answer:

5.5 Hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Currently, the equation is 60=8.50h+13.25 and h stands for the hours that Sammie worked. So, you need to solve for h by first subtracting 13.25 (his tips) and getting the amount that he received for the hours that he worked.

You should now have 46.75=8.50h

Our final step, is to divide 46.75 by 8.50 to get h by itself and determine the total hours that Sammie worked.

In the end, you should come out with h=5.5, which means that Sammie worked 5.5 hours.
