Hi!

The given line is a radius.

What's the difference between a diameter and a radius?

A radius begins from the center of a circle (or sphere) and goes to the end, and it's a straight line.

A diameter is the longest distance between 2 random points on a circle, so it goes all the way across.

In this problem, the line starts at the middle of the circle and goes to the end, so it is, in fact, a radius.

It's not a diameter because it can not go all the way across, since we don't even have all of the sphere.

Which is the equation of the same line as y=3x-8
iren [92.7K]

You have forgot to upload an attachment with it either or you might forgot to write the complete question but i can still help you by telling you how this graph will be looking.

As you can see the y intercept is -8 so you can clearly understand that the line cuts the y axis at -8. Similarly by looking at the gradient and knowing that it is positive you can know that the the diagonal line will be sloping upwards with the multiple of 3.

Rudy, Maria, and Tito have a total of x textbooks Rudy has 6 textbooks andTito and Maria each have y textbooks. How many textboo
shtirl [24]

Answer:

Tito have \frac{x-6}{2} textbooks in terms of x

Step-by-step explanation:

Rudy has 6 textbooks

We are given that Tito and Maria each have y textbooks

So, Tito has no. of books = y

Maria has no. of books = y

So, total number of textbooks = 6+y+y=6+2y

We are given that Rudy, Maria, and Tito have a total of x textbooks

So,6+2y=x

So, 2y=x-6

y=\frac{x-6}{2}

Hence Tito have \frac{x-6}{2} textbooks in terms of x
