Hello

The equation to find the volume of a cube is a^3 Our a is 4, which means that our equation is 4^3 4 to the power of 3 is 64, which gives us our volume.

Lastly we must do 64x3,which gives us 192. This means the third box has a volume of 192in^3.

I HOPE THIS HELPS & GOOD LUCK!!! <3

for the first part, realize that the hour and minute hands are moving at different rates; in one hour, the minute hands moves all the way around the face of the clock, and thus moves a total of 360 degrees or 2 pi radians; the hour hand moves only 1/12 away around the clock, so covers only 30 degrees or Pi/6 radians.

Now, the LINEAR distance traveled by the tip of each hand is also determined by the length of the hand. In the case of the minute hand, it sweeps out a circle of radius 10 cm, so traces out a circle of radius 10 cm. Since the circumference of a circle is 2*pi*r, the minute hand (remember it made one complete cycle) covers a distance of 2*pi*10cm=20 Pi cm

The hour hand covers only 1/12 a circle, but that circle is only 6 cm in radius, so the distance traveled by the tip of the minute hand is:

1/12 *[2 *pi*r]=1/12*[12*pi]=pi

so the difference is 19pi

for the last part, you should draw a diagram of the two hands, the minute hand is 10 cm in length, the hour hand is 6 cm in length, and they are 30 degrees apart...from that drawing, see if you can figure out the remaining leg of the triangle you can form from them

good luck

• A cylindrical tank can hold 2279.64 cubic feet of water. The radius of the tank is 11 feet. What is the height of the tank?
tia_tia [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

so you want to know the formula for the volume of a cylinder

volume (cylinder) = area of the circular base * height

2279.64 = area of a circle + height

area of a circle is \pir^{2}

they tell us the radius is 11 feet so r = 11

circle = \pi11^{2} = 38013271

2279.64 = 38013271 * height

2279.64 / 38013271 = height

5.996958 = height in feet

Help !! Picture ^^^^
nikitadnepr [17]
The answer is 78

If you multiply 17x6 you get 102
102 equals the whole rectangle after that you need to get rid of the part that’s not there
so you multiply 8x3 which equals 24
you then subtract 24 from 102 and get 78
