Mathematics

Answer:

Looking at the given points we know that it is going to be rectangle because we have 4 points. Therefore the figure is a rectangle and the area formula would be A=l*w.

You can look at the attached graph and what we see is that our width of the rectangle is from y=-4 to y=3 which means that our height is 7 units wide. We can also see that our length starts at x=-1 and ends at x=4 making us have a length of 5 units.

We then plug in the values and solve

A = 7\ units * 5\ units

A = 35\ units^2

Therefore, the area of our rectangle is 35\ units^2

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions

What is the 101st term in the sequence 997, 989, 981, ...?
melamori03 [73]

Answer: first option.

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the common difference d of the arithmetic sequence:

d=a_n-a_{(n-1)}\\d=989-997\\d=-8

Then the formula for the 101st term is the shown below:

a_n=a_1+(n-1)d

Where:

a_1=997\\d=-8\\n=101

Substitute values into the formula. Therefore, you obtain:

a_n=997+(101-1)(-8)=197

Someone please explain how the GCF of x^4 and x^3 equals x^3. This has me stumped.
Ede4ka [16]

GCF is the greatest common factor. its the value of the factors that are common to both the numbers being compared. In other words the product of the factors that are common to both numbers or the greatest factor common to both numbers.
factors of x⁴ = x * x * x * x = (x * x * x) * x
factors of x³ = x * x * x = (x * x * x)
factors common to both are (x * x * x) Therefore GCF is x³

3x + 2
Output (y)
Input (x)
0
2
4 but for x
seropon [69]

Answer:

so if x = 0, x = 2, and x = 4

3(0) + 2 = 0 + 2 = 2, so when x = 0, y = 2

3(2) + 2 = 6 + 2 = 8, so when x = 2, y = 8

3(4) + 2 = 12 + 2 = 14, so when x = 4, y = 14
