There are 75% students in class who passed the algebra test out of total 24 students.

What is Percentage?

A percentage is a number or ratio that can be expressed as a fraction of 100. If we have to calculate percent of a number, divide the number by the whole and multiply by 100. Hence, the percentage means, a part per hundred. The word per cent means per 100. It is represented by the symbol “%”.

Here, total number of students in class is 24

students who passed the algebra test is 18

Percentage = Passed student X 100 / Total students

                   = 18 X 100 /24

                   = 0.75 X 100

                   = 75%

Thus, there are 75% students in class who passed the algebra test out of total 24 students.

Six times a number increased by 5
sergey [27]
I'm not quite sure what you asking here but if your asking how to answer it in "math terms" than I'll be happy to explain :)

So "times" means multiply and "increase" means add so righting this in math terms would be
6x + 5
because it's six times "a number" which you can replace with x!

the mixture has to be less than 30 that means that it costs less than 30 but 30 can be the answer as well.
