The civilization of the Indus Valley had a well developed measurement system, using weights and measurement scales. The smallest scale from the Bronze Age period was found in the region; made in ivory, it was marked with  a division of 1.704 milimiters. They used decimal units for measuring weights also. And although the exact measurements for a weight unit (generally 28 grams) varied from region to region, the scale of 5:2:1 was followed when measuring amounts of said units.

kow [346]

Answer:

4. Paraguay lost a large part of its territory

Explanation:

The War of the Triple Alliance was a war between Paraguay from one side, and Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil from the other side. Paraguay decided that it should have access to the Atlantic Ocean in order to be economically more independent, but Uruguay was standing on its way. In order to achieve its goal, Paraguay attacked the smaller and weaker Uruguay in an attempt to invade it. This was not seen fondly by Brazil and Argentina, and they were quick to react, making an alliance between them, as well as with Uruguay. This alliance was known as the Triple Alliance, and its purpose was to prevent Paraguay from invading Uruguay and becoming a powerhouse in South America. The Triple Alliance came out as the victorious side in the war, with Paraguay losing big chunk of its territory to Argentina and Brazil.

According to the information provided in these visuals, how did the decline of
Mariulka [41]

The population of native Latin Americans decreased during the age of exploration and with colonization because of the diseases that conquistadors and colonizers brought that Latin Americans did not have any previous exposure to (no immunity so died from the diseases). The colonizors had used native populations for labor so when they died, they needed a new form of labor. They brought Africans to latin america and enslaved them for their labor. This bringing of slaves over created the transatlantic slave trade (depicted in the pictures, transatlantic bc they were shipping over the atlantic ocean) and also created the diaspora of african culture and religions to latin america (this is found most in the carribean).
