Max and Jenna are each making pastries for their family reunion. Max is making beignets with a special type of flour. For every

5 servings of beignets, Max uses 3.5 cups of flour. Jenna uses the same type of flour to make croissants. For every 12 servings of croissants, Jenna uses 1.75 cups of flour. If Max made 10 servings of beignets for the reunion, and Max and Jenna used the same amount of flour, then how many servings of croissants did Jenna make?

Suppose that at a state college, a random sample of 41 students is drawn, and each of the 41 students in the sample is asked to
ra1l [238]

Answer:

The  confidence interval for 90% confidence would be narrower than the 95% confidence

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

  The  sample size is n = 41

For a 95% confidence the level of significance is  \alpha  = [100 - 95]\% =  0.05 and

the critical value  of  \frac{\alpha }{2}  is   Z_{\frac{\alpha }{2} } =Z_{\frac{0.05 }{2} }=  1.96

For a 90% confidence the level of significance is  \alpha  = [100 - 90]\% =  0.10 and

the critical value  of  \frac{\alpha }{2}  is   Z_{\frac{\alpha }{2} } =Z_{\frac{0.10 }{2} }=  1.645

So we see with decreasing confidence level the critical value  decrease

Now the margin of error is mathematically represented as

         E =  Z_{\frac{\alpha }{2} } *  \frac{s}{\sqrt{n} }

given that other values are constant and only Z_{\frac{\alpha }{2} } is varying we have that

         E\ \  \alpha \ \   Z_{\frac{\alpha }{2} }

Hence for  reducing confidence level the margin of error will be reducing

  The  confidence interval is mathematically represented as

        \= x  - E  <  \mu <  \= x  + E

Now looking at the above formula and information that we have deduced so far we can infer that as the confidence level reduces , the critical value  reduces, the margin of error  reduces and the confidence interval becomes narrower

The price of a gallon of milk increased from $5.50 to $7.50. Describe the price increase as a percent.
sweet [91]

Step-by-step explanation:

7.50= (1 + x/100 ) × 5.50

7.50/ 5.50 = 1+x/100

x/100 = 0.36

x= 36.36%

The two spheres above have the same center. One has a radius of 4 cm, and the other has a radius of 5 cm. Approximately how much
Zanzabum
The space between the two spheres will be the volume of the larger sphere minus the volume of the smaller sphere.  Given that the volume of any sphere is:

V=(4πr^3)/3  The space between to sphere of different radius and positioned about the same center is:

S=(4πR^3)/3-(4πr^3)/3  I used S=volume of space, R=larger radius and r=smaller radius...

S=(4π/3)(R^3-r^3), we are told that R=5 and r=4 so

S=(4π/3)(5^3-4^3)

S=(4π/3)(125-64)

S=(4π/3)(61)

S=244π/61

S=4π cm^3

S≈12.57 cm^3  (to nearest hundredth of a ml)
