ments about the situation are true? Check all that apply.
The number of possible outcomes is 8.
The probability is drawing the tile with E written on it is 1/4.

Using the probability concept, it is found that the correct statements are given as follows:

 • The number of possible outcomes is 8.
 • P(vowel)=1/4
 • P(vowel) + P(consonant) = 1.

What is a probability?

A probability is given by the number of desired outcomes divided by the number of total outcomes.

In this problem, there are eight letters, two of which are vowels and six of which are consonants.

Hence:

 • P(vowel) = 2/8 = 1/4.
 • P(consonant) = 6/8 = 3/4.
 • P(vowel) + P(consonant) = 1/4 + 3/4 = 1.

E is one out eight letters, hence the probability is drawing the tile with E written on it is 1/8.

Help please Can you clear fractions in an equation by multiplying each side by a common denominator other than the LCD? Give an
Katena32 [7]
Yes here is an example:_

x/4 + 5/6 = 2

The LCD of 4 and 6 is 12 but we can also multiply through by 24 to clear the fractions:-

x/4 * 24 + 5/6 * 24 = 2 + 24

6x + 20 = 40

This will give us the same result if we multiplied through by 12.

The bottom left box is 2.997, and then I guess you can do 0+3=3 for the right side

Step-by-step explanation:

With the boxes given, you do math for the left side to get 2.997. and then for the right side, if you are rounding to the nearest whole number, do 0+3=3. without context it is pretty confusing
