The third choice is the answer

First I would isolate the "y" in the equation:

x - 4y = 4  Subtract "x" on both sides

-4y = 4 - x  Divide -4 to get "y" by itself

y = -1 + \frac{x}{4}  or  y = \frac{1}{4} x - 1

This is now in slope intercept form, which is:

y = mx + b

"m" being the slope, "b" being the y-intercept (when x = 0)

Your slope is 1/4, and your y-intercept is -1.

The 2nd graph is your answer

\mathrm{If\:}f\left(x\right)=g\left(x\right)\mathrm{,\:then\:}\ln \left(f\left(x\right)\right)=\ln \left(g\left(x\right)\right) \ \textgreater \  \ln \left(6^x\right)=\ln \left(21\right)

\mathrm{Apply\:log\:rule}:\ \log _a\left(x^b\right)=b\cdot \log _a\left(x\right) \ \textgreater \  \ln \left(6^x\right)=x\ln \left(6\right)

x\ln \left(6\right)=\ln \left(21\right) \ \textgreater \  \mathrm{Divide\:both\:sides\:by\:}\ln \left(6\right) \ \textgreater \  \frac{x\ln \left(6\right)}{\ln \left(6\right)}=\frac{\ln \left(21\right)}{\ln \left(6\right)}

Therefore \: x=\frac{\ln \left(21\right)}{\ln \left(6\right)}

In your case ln means \frac{log 21}{log 6}

The point-slope form of the equation of the line that passes through (-4,-3) and (12, 1) is y-1= 1/4(x-12). what is the stadard
Monica [59]

Answer:

x - 4y = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the Point-Slope Formula is already given to you, convert it to Slope-Intercept Form, and you do that by doing this:

y - 1 = ¼(x - 12) >> y - 1 = ¼x - 3

y - 1 = ¼x - 3

+ 1 + 1

--------------

y = ¼x - 2 >> Slope-Intercept Form

After doing this, you are ready to convert to Standard Form, and you do that by doing this:

y = ¼x - 2

-¼x -¼x

-----------

-¼x + y = -2

Now unfortunately, we do not want fractions as our coefficients, so the way to eliminate the fraction is to multiply the equation by the Multiplicative Inverse of -¼, which is -4:

-4[-¼x + y = -2] >> x - 4y = 8 → New equation without fractions
