Let f(x) = -4x + 7 and g(x) = 10x - 6 find f(g(x))
max2010maxim [7]
F(x) = -4x + 7
g(x) = 10x - 6

f(g(x)) = -4(10x - 6) + 7
f(g(x)) = -4(10x) + 4(6) + 7
f(g(x)) = -40x + 24 + 7
f(g(x)) = -40x + 31

Za and Zb are complementary angles. Za measures 64º.<br> What is the measure of Zb?<br> O
vova2212 [387]

Answer: The measure of <b is 26 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

Complementary angles are angles that add up to 90 degrees. I remember this because my teacher told me this: "Complements are always RIGHT!" Of course, this is a reference to complementary angles combining to make right angles, which are 90 degrees.

To go back on your question, if  <a and <b are truly complementary, then m<a +m<b = 90 degrees. Substitute the measure of <a for 64 degrees, then you get 64 degrees + m<b = 90 degrees. Simplify. Then you'd get that the measure of <b is 26 degrees.

(P.S. Sorry if I cluttered up the ask portion of your post. I haven't used this platform in like 2 years, so everything seems so foreign to me.)

4x – 3y=8<br> 2. 5x – 2y = -11
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

x = -7

y =  - 12

Step-by-step explanation:

The given system is:

4x-3y=8

5x-2y=-11

We make x the subject in the top equation to get:

x =  \frac{3}{4}y + 2

Plug this expression for x in the bottom equation to get

5( \frac{3}{4}y + 2) - 2y=  - 11

We expand to obtain

\frac{15}{4} y + 10 - 2y =  - 11

Multiply through by 4

15y + 40 - 8y =  - 44

Group similar terms

15y - 8y =  - 44 - 40

7y =  - 84

y =  -  \frac{84}{7}  =-12

This means

x =  -12\times  \frac{3}{4}  + 2

x =  - 7

Direction of the line: Down

-Negative Slope

Rise=-3

Run=4

Rise/Run=-3/4

Option 2

Points: (1,-2) and (-3,1)

50 points i need to know how to plot these
svetlana [45]

x is time and y is pencils that you have

'starts with 90' so at x=0, plot y=90

'gives away 15 every hour' so for every 1 hour, move 15 down on y

so at x=1, do 90-15=75 pencils

at x=2, do 75-15=60 pencils

etc

until you get to

x=6, do 15-15=0 pencils then stop because you can't give away 15 pencils when you have 0

see attachment for plot

I don't know how your segment tool works so you do it

if it draws a line, you only need 2 points, just do when x=0, y=90 and when x=6, y=0
