Frank and his mom are planting vegetables in their garden. Frank has finished planting 8 rows of carrots so far and is planting

new rows at a rate of 1 row per hour. His mom has finished 2 rows of tomatoes and will continue planting at 3 rows per hour. Once the pair get to the point where they have finished the same number of rows, they will take a break and decide what to plant next. How long will that take? How many rows will they each have completed?

Answer:

It will take 3 hours. They will both have completed 11 rows.

Step-by-step explanation:

1 row of carrots per hour = frank

3 rows of tomatoes per hour = frank's mom

right now, this is how many they have completed

frank - 8 rows

mom - 2 rows

1st hour

f - 9

m - 5

2nd hour

f - 10

m - 8

3rd hour

f - 11

m - 11

fomenos

8x - 2x(x+1) = 2(3x-1)

First, expand to remove parenthesis. / Your problem should look like:

8x - 2x - 2 = 6x - 2

Second, subtract 8x - 2x -2 to get 6x - 2. / Your problem should look like:

6x - 2 = 6x - 2

Third, both sides are equal, so there are infinite solutions. The equation is always true, meaning identity

Answer: Infinite solutions

Find the missing value given (-1,7)(-3,d) m= 6 HELP ASAP WILL MAKE BRAINLEST
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

d= -5

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope of a line is found by finding the ratio of change is y values to change is x values

m=y_2-y_1/x_2-x_1

The points on the line have coordinates at: (-1,7) (-3,d)

where ;

y_2=d, y_1=7,x_2=-3,x_1=-1,m=6

Applying the formula with values as;

6=\frac{d-7}{-3--1} \\\\6=\frac{d-7}{-3+1} \\\\6=\frac{d-7}{-2} \\\\6*-2=d-7\\\\-12=d-7\\\\-12+7=d\\\\-5=d

The value of d = -5

The coordinates of the points  (-1,7) (-3,-5)

The time it takes a student to walk from the dorm to the chemistry lab follows roughly a Normaldistribution with a mean of 20 mi
creativ13 [48]

Answer:

95.15%

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that the mean (m) is equal to 20, the standard deviation (sd) 3

They ask us for P (x <25)

For this, the first thing is to calculate z, which is given by the following equation:

z = (x - m) / sd

We have all these values, replacing we have:

z = (25 - 20) / (3)

z = 1.66

With the normal distribution table (attached), we have that at that value, the probability is:

P (z <1.66) = 0.9515

Which means that the probability that it arrives before 25 minutes is 95.15%
