Talking to Your Parents
Sure, you talk to your parents, but what if you need to really talk? Maybe you have a problem you can't solve alone. Or it could be that you want to feel closer to your Mom and Dad.
It's easy to say "Hi, Mom" or "Dad, can you pass the potatoes?" It can be harder to start talking about personal topics. Still, it's good to confide in your parents. In fact, it can help a lot.
Be Brave and Start Talking
Let's face it, talking about personal stuff can feel embarrassing. But remember, your parents know you pretty well — and they were your age once, too! So don't let a little embarrassment stop you. It's OK to go ahead and share what's on your mind.
Some kids might think if they share a problem, they'll make a parent worried or upset. But your mom or dad can handle knowing about your problem, big or small. If they look concerned, it just means they care, and that they feel for you.
i dont understand you have everything there
To find the x-intercept, you need to see where the line intersects the x-axis, the horizontal line with numbers on it. The line intersects the x-axis at (2, 0). Therefore, the x-intercept is (2, 0).
To find the y-intercept, you need to see where the line intersects the y-axis, the vertical line with numbers on it. The line intersects the y-axis at (1, 0). Therefore, the y-intercept is (1, 0).
There are two ways to find the slope. The easiest one in my opinion is rise over run, but you can also use an equation too. I am going to be showing you the rise/run method, but you can also ask if you want the equation method as well. First of all, the line goes to the left, not the right, so we know that the slope is going to be negative. The slope of a line is a measure of its steepness. Mathematically, slope is calculated as "rise over run" (change in y divided by change in x). All you need to do is calculate the difference between the two points in the vertical direction (rise) and then divide it by the difference in the horizontal direction (run). I am going to choose point (1, 0) if I go up by 2 and over by 4, I'll get to the point (-4, 3) that also lands on the line. 2/4 is 1/2. Therefore, the slope is -1/2.
I hope this helps! Let me know if I got something wrong.
