\frac{1}{3} (\frac{3}{1}) (2x-5) = 3 (\frac{3}{1})

2x-5=9

2x=14

\frac{2x}{2}= \frac{14}{2}

x=7

the average age of 5 students is 9yrs out of them the ages of 4 students are 5,7,8,and 15yrs what is the age of remaining studen
valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Keep in mind that to find the average they would do:

Average = Sum of students' ages / number of students

So to solve this question we should firstly find the sum of all their ages.

To do this you multiply 5 by 9 = 45.

This means 45 is the sum of all 5 students' ages.

Next you are given four students have ages 5 , 7 , 8 and 15.

The sum of their ages are: 5 + 7 + 8 + 15 = 35

This means that the final student has age 45 - 35 = 10 years.

Mr.Smith has p pounds of cookie dough. He is going to split it equally among his three children. Each child will get 0.42 pounds
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

p = 1.26

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the total weight (p) is going to be split equally (divided) by 3.

We also know that divided weight will be equal to 0.42 pounds.

p / 3 = 0.42

To solve:

multiply both sides by 3 to cancel the division by 3

p = 1.26

To test this you could divide 1.26 by 3 again to get 0.42

Four Friends decided to host the grand opening of their bar on St. Patrick’s Day. They built their bars at different distances f
klio [65]
John's Bar 60 km away from Ben's Bar.
Doug's Bar is 40 km away from Kieran's Bar
John's Bar is 10 km nearer to Doug's Bar than Kieran's Bar

If I am to assume that these bar are in a liner position,

Ben's Bar  Kieran's Bar      John's Bar          Doug's Bar
   *************  60km*******************

                            *****************40 km ********************

                                                           *********30 km**************

Doug's Bar is 90 km away from Ben's Bar.

Ben to John = 60 km
John to Doug = 30 km
Ben to Doug = 60 + 30 = 90 km.
