Answer:

\frac{35}{38} yards of fabric is left over.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hasan has the total length of fabric = 18\frac{3}{4} yards

                                                           =  \frac{75}{4} yards

Hasan plans to make as many pillow cases as he can.

To make one pillow case the fabric will be needed =  3\frac{1}{6} yards =  \frac{19}{6} yards

Hasan can make the total number of pillowcases = \frac{\frac{75}{4} }{\frac{19}{6} }

=  \frac{75}{4} ×  \frac{6}{19}

=  \frac{75}{2} ×  \frac{3}{19}

=  \frac{225}{38}

=  5\frac{35}{38}

He can make 5 pillow cases and  \frac{35}{38} yards of fabric would be left over.

I decided to simply both equations:
75/4 *3   225/12
19/6  *2  38/12
First is to find a common factor which is 12, multiply both sides.

divide 38/225 and you should get 5.92.

Hasan can make a total of 5 pillow cases.

Simplify (y x y^1/3)^3/2
jok3333 [9.3K]

Answer:

y^2

Step-by-step explanation:

(y x y^1/3)^3/2 would be clearer if written as

(y*y^(1/3))^(3/2).

Because y^a*y^b = y^(a + b), the quantity inside the first set of parentheses becomes

y^(4/3)

and if we apply the power (3/2) to this result, we get:

                                 4       3

(y^(4/3))^(3/2) = y^{ ----- * ----- ) = y^2

                                 3       2

The number of polynomials having zeros as -2 and 5 is a)1 b)2 c)3 d)more than 3
WINSTONCH [101]

Answer:

d) More than 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

The polynomial (x - 5)(x + 2)  ( = x^2  - 3x + 10) has zeros of -2 and 5 but so have the polynomials formed by multiplying this by any integer:

- for example 2(x - 5)(x + 2) , 4(x - 5)(x + 2) and so on.

The circumference of a circle is 125.6 centimeters. What is the circle's diameter?
AnnyKZ [126]

Answer:

40cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula to find the circumference is :

<h3>C = π × d</h3>

Here,

d ⇒ diameter

Given that,

Circumference = 125.6cm

<u><em>Now let us find the diameter of the circle.</em></u>

C = π × d

125.6 = 3.14 d

Divide both sides by 3.14.

<u>40 cm </u>= diameter
