I do believe that people can choose to be happy. While it might be difficult for some, I think everyone can choose happiness. Anne Frank wrote this quote during the horrible conditions that took place during the holocaust. During this time it would have been very hard for most people to remain happy. Despite these odds, she was able to find joy in her surroundings and within herself. For this reason, I believe that people can choose to be happy.
