The area of the shaded region between square and circle is 7.74 sq. cm.

What is Square?

A square is a regular quadrilateral, which means that it has four equal sides and four equal angles. It can also be defined as a rectangle with two equal-length adjacent sides.

Here, Sides of square = 12 cm

Area of square = side X side

                                   = 12 X 12

                                   = 144 sq. cm

Radius of circle = 12/2 = 6 cm

Area of circle = πr²

                      = 3.14 X 6²

                     = 3.14 X 36

                    = 113.04 sq. cm

Remaining area = area of square - area of circle

                          = 144 - 113.04

                          = 30.96 sq. cm

Area of shaded region = remaining area / 4

                                      = 30.96 / 4

                                      = 7.74 sq. cm

Thus, the area of the shaded region between square and circle is 7.74 sq. cm.
