Answer:

Explanation:

Matter can change form through physical and chemical changes, but through any of these changes matter is conserved. The same amount of matter exists before and after the change—none is created or destroyed. This concept is called the Law of Conservation of Mass.

skad [1K]

Plasma membrane is the structure which covers up the uptaken molecule.

Explanation:

Uptaking of nutrients from the surrounding needs to be very appropriate for the cell to obtain nutrition, as well as to maintain cell immunity. In case of simpler molecules like glucose etc, the molecules are taken inside the cell by means of specific channels or transport proteins. In case of complex molecules, cells prefer to perform endocytosis - either phagocytosis for solid ones, and pinocytosis for liquid ones.

When the cell finds something which can be taken in, it projects a fold of cell membrane towards the liquid which surrounds part of the liquid, or fully. This cell membrane then presents a depression which covers up the liquid. Then the margins of the depression come closer and ultimately fuse, leaving the liquid inside the cell enclosed with a part of cell membrane. This then fuses with a primary lysozome to form a digestive vacoule, a secondary lysozome, a residual body, and ultimately gets excreted off the cell.

Which observations led Darwin to establish a relationship between extinct and living animals? Select all that apply. Select all
Archy [21]

Answer:

C. The fossilized remains of giant sloths were found in places where smaller sloths now live.

F. The bony shells of armadillos resembled the shells of ancient Glyptodon fossils.

Explanation:

Relationships between existing and living species occur when they share some sort of similarity in their anatomy, internal biological structure and DNA structure. In both option C and F some sort of resemblance between the existing and previous species form has been established. Thus, these two options are correct.

However, in option A, B, D and E no such relationship has been established.

What are the two parts of the Theory of Evolution
Anarel [89]

The first is the word “theory”, which means something slightly different in everyday speech than it does in science.

The second contentious word is “evolution”, because some people argue that there is insufficient evidence to support the idea that species change over time. Proponents of the latter view rely on our dual uses of the word theory to confuse the issues.
