The similarities in structure of the California state government and the federal government are:

 • They both have three branches of government.
 • These branches have the same duties.
 • The Constitution is supreme.

How are the federal and California governments similar?

Both governments have an Executive branch that enforces laws, a legislative branch that makes laws, and a Judicial branch that engages in the interpretation of the law.

The governments also have Constitutions that are considered supreme to laws in their jurisdictions. This means that no law in California can be contrary to the California Constitution.

What was an important reason John Adams lost to Thomas Jefferson?
Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:CAN I HAVE BRAINLIEST PLS!!!

He viscerally disliked Jefferson and objected to his democratic and egalitarian principles, but he feared and mistrusted Aaron Burr as an unprincipled opportunist. In the end, however, the outcome in the House appears to have hung on Federalist bargaining with both Jefferson and Burr.
