The amount of money Jade and chet will have to purchase the app is $11.6

<h3>How to solve equation?</h3>

  • Jade = 8 + 2x
  • Chet = 4x + 6

Where,

x = $2.50

Amount each earned:

Jade = 8 + 2x

= 8 + 2(2.50)

= 8 + 5

= $13

Chet = 4x + 6

= 4(2.50) + 6

= 10 + 6

= $16

Combined earnings = $13 + $16

= $29

Amount planned to save = 40% of combined earnings

= 40% × $29

= 0.4 × 29

= $11.6

lesya [120]

Answer:

i) True

ii) True

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Given :-</u>

Point (-1, 2)

<u>To Find :</u>

Whether the point is a solution of :

  1. y = -2x
  2. y = x + 3

<u>Solving :-</u>

Substitute the value of the point in each of the equations.

=> y = -2x

=> 2 = -2(-1)

=> 2 = 2 [∴ The point makes it true]

=> y = x + 3

=> 2 = -1 + 3

=> 2 =  2 [∴ The point makes it true]

The equation d = 22.5n + 27.5 represents the amount of money, in dollars, that Kathryn earns for each sale she makes. The variab
LenKa [72]

Answer:

C.) 21

Step-by-step explanation:

d = 22.5n + 27.5

Where d is the total amount of money earned and n is the number of items sold

Substitute:

500 = 22.5n + 27.5

We can substitute 500 for d because 500 is the total amount of money Kathryn wants to earn

Solve:

500 = 22.5n + 27.5

Subtract 27.5 on both sides:

500 = 22.5n + 27.5

-27.5               -27.5

472.5‬ = 22.5n

Divide by 22.5 on both sides:

472.5‬ = 22.5n

/22.5    /22.5

21 = n

Therefore, Kathryn must sell 21 items to make $500.
