Question's missing part:

The examples are as follows:

1) the influence of economic challenges, such as inflation and unemployment

2) the effects of a tax increase on the gross domestic product

3) the impact of competition on a bakery

4) the result of a major government spending program on the national unemployment rate

5) the effect of rising interest rates on the purchasing decisions of individuals

From the above examples, the student of macroeconomics is studying the concepts of gross domestic product (GDP), unemployment, and inflation.

The first, second, and fourth options are the correct answers.

What is macroeconomics?

Macroeconomics is one of the fields of economics that studies all the concepts affecting a country as a whole rather than as an individual or a thing.

The examples relating to macroeconomics are the increase in taxes due to GDP, the effect of unemployment and inflation on the country's economy, and the spending program concerning the rate of unemployment.

Therefore, the examples apart from the third and fifth options are concerned with the concepts of macroeconomics.

People who believe that they will be caught if they commit crime are the ones most likely to be deterred from committing crimina
Vika [28.1K]

Answer:

certainty of punishment

Explanation:

In simple words,Certainness of penalty effectively means that deterrence occurs if a criminal offence is performed. Therefore, to discourage criminals their penalty must be quick. This concept is based on the theory that Too custodial sentence is unfair, and unsevere punishment does not dissuade offenders from committing crimes.

Certainness has a larger effect on prevention than penalty intensity. Analysis underlines the much more important role which certainty serves in prevention than intensity— it is the likelihood about being captured that dissuades an individual from breaking the law, not really the apprehension of becoming prosecuted or the magnitude of the penalty.

Discuss the rule of law as a democratic principle which supports a democracy under the heading Importance and its benefits
VikaD [51]

Answer:

The rule of law is a very important principle for any democracy. The rule of law is a principle that establishes that the laws of a country come from a legal corpus established by societal consensus, instead of emanating from the will of a single person, like in a monarchy or a tyranny, or a small group of people, like in an oligarchy.

The rule of law ensures that even the democratic rulers of a country have a series of prohibitions, and a set of boundaries to their power. The rule of law is therefore crucial for democracy, and without it, it is very difficult to be in democratic terms anymore.

A student reported that a limp stalk of celery became crisp when placed in ice water if a hypothesis is shown to answer several
Bezzdna [24]
Thank you for posting your question here. It can be considered to be consistent with the given facts. As you know, an hypothesis, much less a theory, is never proven. It can be shown to be consistent with given observations. As new observations are collected, the given hypothesis may have to be modified.

If the celery became crisp when it was soaked in ice water, then clearly that the water has rehydrated the celery is a reasonable hypothesis. But did it have to be ice cold water? Would room temperature water work? What about boiling water?

And thus most of the time, the success of an hypothesis leads to the design of new experiments to test and expand the original hypothesis.
