Jamestown and Plymouth were both permanent English colonies. They both didn't start out as royal colonies. Both were started in the early 1600s (Jamestown=1607, Plymouth=1620) Colonists at Jamestown and Plymouth suffered greatly in the beginning- the colonists at Jamestown weren't used to hard labor they had to do and suffered from famine/illness/ect while the colonists at Plymouth arrived later during both the same year and suffered from an extremely harsh winter. Also, a conflict between them included economical issues. Plymouth's issues included economy and religion, and while Plymouth wasn't dependent, Jamestown was.

Most of what we know about the Olmec civilization comes from
zavuch27 [327]

Answer:

Their sculptures and artifacts.

Explanation:

The Olmecs were extremely talented artists and sculptors: they produced many statues, masks, figurines (Yes, figurines were a thing back then), stelae (I know you're confused. A stela (the singular form of stelae) is an upright stone or column typically bearing a commemorative inscription or relief design, often serving as a gravestone.), thrones and more. However, they are best known for their colossal heads, 17 of which have been found at four different archaeological sites.

The first picture is an Olmec head, and the second is a stela.

35 POINTS! Do you think Brown v. Board of Education (1954) served its purpose of societal desegregation well? Or, do you think t
marusya05 [52]
It did in the long run. In the short run it created many issues because there was a rise in extremism, in southern states especially. For starters, racists didn't want to desegregate their schools and public places so they didn't enforce the decision of the court throughout the entire next decade. Another thing is that organizations that were illegal like the Ku Klux Klan started getting power and harassing innocent African-Americans. It did create a litigious environment however because suddenly there were many more cases regarding desegregation and they had the court's precedence support so they were easily won because of the way the legal system works. It didn't lack legal justification, the only problem was enforcing it before the civil rights acts were passed and the country started battling racism systematically in all of the United States.
