Answer: The nephridium (plural nephridia) is an invertebrate organ, found in pairs and performing a function similar to the vertebrate kidneys (which originated from the chordate nephridia). Nephridia remove metabolic wastes from an animal's body. Nephridia come in two basic categories: metanephridia and protonephridia.

HURRYY!!

Why have American's portion sizes become larger in the last decade?
Viefleur [7K]

Answer:

American's portion sizes have become larger in the last decade due to the expanding of food industries and marketing campaigns that tell us to eat more.

Explanation:

The growth of food industries in the last decades to obtain more money in combination with the media influence has led us to eat more, thus why the size of our portions has increased their size.

Another theory states that people always want to eat more, and the industry has only fulfilled this demand, but it is not clear why, in the past, this did not happen.

What effect did pollution have in the population in the Chesapeake Bay estuary
goldfiish [28.3K]

Airborne nitrogen is one of the largest sources of pollution affecting the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. Excess nitrogen can fuel the growth of algae blooms, which can block sunlight from reaching underwater grasses and create low-oxygen “dead zones” that suffocate marine life.
