The shares of ABC will Mark own at the end of the year is 38 shares , Option D is the right answer.

<h3>What is a Quarter ?</h3>

A quarter is when something is divided into 4 equal parts , A year has a quarter of 3 months.

It is given that Mark Invests  $150 at the beginning of each quarter in stock ABC.

According to the data given

In Q1  , the price of the share is $15

150/15 = 10 shares

In Q2 , the price of the share is $16

150/16 = 9 shares approx

In Q3 , the price of the share is $13

150/13 = 11 approx

In Q4,the price of the share is $18

15/18 = 8

Therefore the total shares = 10+9+11+8 = 38 shares approx.

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

Recall that for a function f(x) and for a constant k

f(x+k) represents a horizontal translation for the function f(x) by k units in the negative-x direction.

Hence f(x+k) is simply the graph of f(x) that has been moved left (negative x direction) by k units.

From the graph, we can see that g(x) = f(x+k) is simply the graph of f(x) that has been moved 4 units in the negative x-direction.

hence K is simply 4 units.

Can somebody tell me the answer and maybe tell me how you got it too.
asambeis [7]

To get t on one side, we have to use inverse operations to get rid of the 5.

1. Use inverse operation of multiplication to get rid of 5. Which would be division.

2. Divide both sides by 5.

5t/5 = 7 1/2 / 5

3. Solve.

5t/5 = t and 7 1/2 /5 = 1 1/2

7.5 / 5 = 1.5

Therefore, your answer would be C. divide both sides by 5, and the answer is 1 1/2.

2. Factor f(x) = x4 + 10x3 + 35x2 + 50x + 24 completely showing all work and steps with synthetic division. Then sketch the grap
Ira Lisetskai [31]

Solution: The factor form of the given polynomial is f(x)=(x+4)(x+3)(x+2)(x+1).

Explanation:

To find the factor form of the given polynomial fisrt find the random value of x for which the vlaue of f(x) is 0.

The value of the function f(x) is 0 for x=-1, therefore (x+1) is a factor of given function.

Use synthetic method to divide the given polynomial for by (x+1). Write coefficients of polynomial in top line and -1 on left side of the line. Write first element in bottom line then multiply it by -1 and write it in second line below the element second element and the add. The division by synthetic method is given in figure 1.

The bottom line shows the coefficients of the quotient polynomial.

So f(x)=(x+1)(x^3+9x^2+26x+24)

Similarly (x+2) is the factor of given polynomial because for x=-2 the value of parenthesis polynomial is 0.

Use synthetic method to divide the parenthesis polynomial for by (x+2). it is shown in figure 2.

So

f(x)=(x+1)(x+2)(x^2+7x+12)\\f(x)=(x+1)(x+2)(x^2+3x+4x+12)\\f(x)=(x+1)(x+2)(x(x+3)+4(x+3))\\f(x)=(x+1)(x+2)(x+3)(x+4)

Hence the factor form of the given polynomial is f(x)=(x+4)(x+3)(x+2)(x+1). The graph of the given function is given in figure 3.

PLEASE HELP ME
denis23 [38]

Answer:

(1) The possible outcomes are: X = {0, 1, 2, 3}.

(2) The number of times should Hartley spin a difference of 1 is 36.

(3) The number of times should Hartley spin a difference of 0 is 24.

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of sections on the spinner is 4 labelled as {1, 2, 3, 4}.

The total number of spins for each of the spinner is, <em>n</em> = 96.

(1)

The sample space of spinning both the spinners together are:

S = {(1, 1), (1, 2), (1, 3), (1, 4)

      (2, 1), (2, 2), (2, 3), (2, 4)

      (3, 1), (3, 2), (3, 3), (3, 4)

      (4, 1), (4, 2), (4, 3), (4, 4)}

Total = 16.

The possible outcomes are:

X = {0, 1, 2, 3}.

(2)

The sample space with the difference 1 are:

S₁ = {(1, 2), (2, 1), (2, 3), (3, 2), (3, 4), (4, 3)}

n (S₁) = 6

The probability of the difference 1 is:

P(\text{Diff}=1)=\frac{n(S_{1})}{N}=\frac{6}{16}=\frac{3}{8}

The spinners were spinner 96 times.

The expected number of times would Hartley spin a difference of 1 is:

E(\text{Diff}=1)=P(\text{Diff}=1)\times n\\\\=\frac{3}{8}\times 96\\\\=36

Thus, the number of times should Hartley spin a difference of 1 is 36.

(3)

The sample space with the difference 0 are:

S₂ = {(1, 1), (2, 2), (3, 3), (4, 4)}

n (S₂) = 4

The probability of the difference 0 is:

P(\text{Diff}=0)=\frac{n(S_{2})}{N}=\frac{4}{16}=\frac{1}{4}

The spinners were spinner 96 times.

The expected number of times would Hartley spin a difference of 0 is:

E(\text{Diff}=0)=P(\text{Diff}=0)\times n\\\\=\frac{1}{4}\times 96\\\\=24

Thus, the number of times should Hartley spin a difference of 0 is 24.
