There is no line provided but here is how to do it.

Assuming you mean a line on a graph, it would likely have a slope, y-intercept, and x-intercept. In the most unlikely case, it would be in a horizontal or vertical direction which mean that the slope would be zero and undefined.

To make a slope-intercept equation out of a line on a graph use the format:

y = mx + b

M = the slope

B = y-intercept

Quick heads up: The x-intercept is not included in slope-intercept but is in the point-slope format. But personally, I believe the slope-intercept is easier format to understand (could be different from your perspective though).

So the y-intercept is like the beginning of a line or when the line intersects in the y-axis and the x-value of a ordered pair is 0.

To give an example, take a look at this ordered pair:

(0, 5)

In this ordered pair, the x-value is 0 and the y-value is 5. The 5 is the y-intercept because the x-value is 0.

So now onto the slope.

To calculate the slope, find two random ordered pairs on the line.

Then using the formula, \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Calculate the slope.

To give a better understanding, the second ordered pairs y-value should be plugged in first and the first one lastly. Do the same for the x-value and divide. Then you should get the slope (sometimes it's easier to leave as a fraction since decimals can go on "forever.")

Now that the slope and y-intercept have been calculated, simply plug in everything.

As Mentioned before using the format y = mx + b for slope-intercept form.

Here's an example equation:

y = 0.5 + 5

The slope is 0.5 and the y-intercept and 5.

Which table represents a linear function that has a slope of 5 and a y-intercept of 20? A 2-column table with 4 rows. Column 1 i
natali 33 [55]

Answer:

The 1st table represents a function

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets explain how to solve the problem

- Function is a relation where each input has a single output

- The notation of the function is f(x) = y , where x is the input of the

 function and y is the out put of the function

-  The domain of the function is x and the range of the function is y

* Lets find which table represent a function

# First table:

     x      y

    -3      -1

     0      0

    -2      -1

- In the first table

∵ -3 has only -1

∵ 0 has only 0

∵ -2 has only -1

∵ 8 has only 1

∵ Every x has a single y

∴ The table represents a function

∴ The 1st table represents a function

- In the second table

   x       y

   -5       -5

    0       0

   -5       5

    6       -6

∵ x = -5 has y = -5 and y = 5

∴ One x has two values of y

∴ The table doesn't represent a function

- In the third table

    x          y

   -4         8

   -2         2

   -2         4

    0         2

∵ x = -2 has y = 2 and y = 4

∴ One x has two values of y

∴ The table doesn't represent a function

- In the fourth table

    x          y

   -4         2

    3         5

   -4         0

∵ x = -4 has y = 2 and y = 0

∴ One x has two values of y

∴ The table doesn't represent a function

Answer:

x = 2.16

Step-by-step explanation:

Question :

\frac{3.5x}{9} =\frac{4.2}{5}

Use cross multiplication.

3.5x × 5 = 9 × 4.2

17.5x = 37.8

Divide both sides by 17.5.

x = 2.16

Let me know if you have any other questions. :-)
