To prove that △DFE ~ △GFH by SAS similarity theorem, then option C. ∠DFE is congruent to ∠GFH is appropriate. So that: \dfrac{DF}{GF} =\dfrac{EF}{HF}  and ∠DFE is congruent to ∠GFH.The correct answer is option C.

The image of the triangle is attached with the answer below:-

<h3>What is congruency?</h3>

The Side-Angle-Side Congruence Theorem (SAS) defines two triangles to be congruent to each other if the included angle and two sides of one is congruent to the included angle and corresponding two sides of the other triangle.

Given ΔDEF as shown in the diagram attached to this answer, the following can be observed:

By comparing ΔDEF and ΔGFH

DF = DG + GF

    = 12 + 4

DF = 16

Also,

EF = EH + HF

   = 9 + 3

EF = 12

Comparing the sides of ΔDEF and ΔGFH, we have;

\dfrac{DF}{GF} = \dfrac{EF}{HF}

\dfrac{16}{4}=\dfrac{12}{3}

4 = 4

Thus, the two triangles have similar sides.

Comparing the included angle <DFE and <GFH, then;

∠DFE is congruent to ∠GFH

Therefore, to prove that △DFE ~ △GFH by the SAS similarity theorem;

\dfrac{DF}{GF} =\dfrac{EF}{HF}    and ∠DFE is congruent to ∠GFH.

The perimeter of a rectangle is 42 cm. The width is 7 cm less than the length.
lara [203]

Answer:

<h2>Length = 14</h2><h2>Width =7</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Let \:the\:length\:be \:x\\Perimeter = 42 cm\\Width = x -7\\\\P = 2(l+b)\\\\42 = 2(x+(x-7))\\\\42 = 2(x +x-7)\\42 = 2(2x-7)\\42 = 4x -14\\Collect\:like\:terms\\\\42+14=4x\\56 = 4x\\\\Divide \:both\:sides\:of\:the\:equation\:by \:4\\\frac{56}{4} = \frac{4x}{4} \\\\14 =x\\Length = 14\\Width = x-7\\Width = 14-7\\\\Width = 7

A prime polynomial cannot be written as a product of lower-degree polynomials. Which polynomial is prime? A)8x2 – 10x – 3 b)8x2
Zanzabum

Answer:

Option (A) and (C).

Step-by-step explanation:

Prime polynomial can't be written as a product of lower degree polynomials.

(A)

8x^2-10x-3

=8x²-6x-4x-3

=2x(4x-3)-1(4x+3)

Here we can't write the polynomial as a product of lower degree.

Therefore it is a prime polynomial.

(B)

8x²+2x-3

=8x²+6x-4x-3

=2x(4x+3)-1(4x+3)

=(4x+3)(2x-1)

Therefore it is not a prime polynomial.

(C)

8x²-6x-3

Therefore it is a prime polynomial.

(D)

8x²+23x-3

=8x²+24x-x-3

=8x(x+3)-1(x+3)

=(x+3)(8x-1)

Therefore it is not a prime polynomial.

PLEASE HELP PLEASE PLEASE
Aleks [24]

Answer:

(2, 4)

Step-by-step explanation:

When plotting points you need to do the x first then the y,

To help you remember the order use the saying OVER AND UP.

For the x-axis is the line going from SIDE to SIDE,

For the y-axis is the line going UP to DOWN,

The Radio City Music Hall x value is 2 and the y value 4.

Therefore your coordinates/ordered pair is (2, 4).
