Based on the properties of a kite, the statement that is true is: D. KPE = TPE.

<h3>What is a Kite?</h3>

A kite is a quadrilateral in which its diagonals intersect at right angles.

Also, the non-vertex angles of a kite are congruent, that is they have equal measure.

Angle KPE and angle TPE in the given kite are right angles formed at the point of intersection of the two diagonals of the kite. They both equal 90 degrees.

Therefore, the true statement is:

D. KPE = TPE

Reil [10]
Area of the base = 8^2 = 64

area of 1 traingle = 1/2 * 8 * 5.4 =  21.6

there are 4 triangular sides  so their area = 4 * 21.6  = 86.4

Total surface area = 64 + 86.4 =  150.4 cm2

Prove algebraically that the difference between the squares of any two consecutive integers is equal to the sum of these two int
daser333 [38]
Let any integer be represented by x.
Then, the consecutive integer (the number that follows) should be x+1.

The statement wants us to prove;

(x+1)²-x²=x+(x+1) <-- solve left hand side

x²+x+x+1²-x²
2x+1 (solution for left hand side)

Now solve for right hand side.

x+(x+1)= 2x+1

As noticed, the LHS=RHS (left hand side= right hand side), therefore, the difference of squared consecutive numbers subtracted is equal to the sum of the two integers.

Hope I helped :)

QUESTION 1
RoseWind [281]

Answer:

1) (D)

2) (B)

3) (C)

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Amount borrowed = $1380 (P)

APR =13% or 0.13 (R)

Time = 15 months (T) = 15/12

Interest amount = \frac{P*R*T}{100}

                           =  \frac{1380*13*15}{1200}

                          = $224.25

Total amount  = 1380+224.25

                        = $1604.25

Monthly payment = 1604.25/15 = $106.95 (D)

2) Amount borrowed = $2240

APR = 15% or 0.15

Time = 18 months

Interest = \frac{P*R*T}{100}

           = \frac{2240*15*18}{1200}

          = $504 (B)

3) Amount borrowed = $5500

APR = 11.5% or 0.115

Time = 5 years

n= 12 (compounded monthly)

M = \frac{P}{\frac{1-(1+r/n)^{-nt}}{r/n} }

   = \frac{5500}{\frac{1-(1+\frac{0.115}{12} )^{-60}}{\frac{0.115}{12}} }

  = $120.95 (C)
